Nurse Practitioner

Mara Hutchings works as Southern Tennessee Cardiology's nurse practitioner. She has worked with Dr. Basaraba for over 10 years in various settings.

Mara is a Registered Nurse and recently graduated as an Advanced Practice Nurse at the George Washington University.  She obtained her Associate's degree in nursing at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN in 1997.  She has spent most of her nursing career in the cardiac cath lab setting, working at Vanderbilt Medical Center, the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Nashville, and Southern Tennessee Medical Center.

Mara and her husband have two sons and a daughter, plus their beloved dogs, Oliver and Sadie. Mara enjoys running, fishing, and hunting with her family and friends.
